Shape, Painting and Markings

本モデルは良好なアウトラインと精密さを併せ持ち、美しい塗装が施されています。 もちろんマーキングやインシグニアはすべてタンポ印刷で再現されています。 塗装は、機体全体がグレイ2トーンの虎縞で覆われ、垂直尾翼にはイエローとブラックで虎が描かれています。

This model has good outline, nice details and beautiful painting. Of course, all markings and insignia are printed by tampo printing. This model is wearing tiger stripe camo of two-tone gray overall. There is a tiger on the vertical tail painted yellow and black.

Weapons Load

本商品にはパイロン付きの兵装と燃料タンクが付属し、主翼下にこれらのアクセサリーをセットすることが出来ます。 AIM-9 はあらかじめ主翼端にセットされているので取り付ける必要はありません。

The weapons and fuel tank with pylon are included in this product. You can set these accsessories under the mainwing. AIM-9 is set to the both wing-tips already. Not necessary to install it.

Good and Bad Points

Gap smaller at nose

以前より機首側面に見られるパーツ間の隙間が小さくなったように思います。 それが個体差かどうかはわかりませんが、喜ばしいことです。

I felt that the size of gap became smaller than before between the nose parts. I don’t know whether it has an individual difference. Even for that, I’m pleasure.

Please make a figure more real!

本モデルはとても良い出来ですが、フィギュアがよくありません。 フィギュアは単なるアクセサリーではなく、とても重要なパーツだと思うのです。 フィギュアの出来がよければ、エアモデルも映えます。 もっとリアルなフィギュアを！

This airmodel is well done, but attached figure is not good. I think a figure is very important part, not just accessory. If the figure is good one, the airmodel will become look so good. So please make a figure more real!

Overview

ノースロップF-5戦術戦闘機は、高い機動性と信頼性を供え、かつ低コストで運用できる超音速戦闘機として設計されました。 初飛行は1959年7月30日、1964年には海外カスタマーへ初配備されました。 1989年に最終生産機がロールアウトするまでに実に2,600機以上生産され、そのうち約2/3は40年以上経った今日でも26か国で使用されています。 F-5はNorthrop Grumman社によって製造されたほか、カナダ、台湾、韓国、スペイン、スイスにてライセンス生産が行われました。

The Northrop F-5 tactical fighter was designed as an extremely maneuverable, supersonic fighter with a high rate of reliability at a low operating cost. The F-5 first flew on July 30, 1959 with the first customer delivery in 1964. The last of more than 2,600 F-5’s were produced in 1989 and about two-thirds of these are still in service with 26 countries more than 4 decades later. The F-5 was manufactured by Northrop Grumman and under license in Canada, Taiwan, South Korea, Spain and Switzerland.

2018年、台東で開かれたオープンハウスで、台湾空軍第7戦闘訓練飛行隊は、タイガーストライプ塗装が施された3機のタイガーIIを公開しました。 3機の内訳は、機番5291、5395および5403です。 マーキングには様々な意味が込められています。 タイガーストライプは、タイガーネストと呼ばれる空軍基地で繁殖する虎（訳者注：次々と巣立っていくパイロットを意味する？）を意味し、イエローとブラックは、虎の粘り強さと勇気を表現しています。 第7戦闘訓練飛行隊は高性能ジェット戦闘機パイロットを養成するための訓練部隊です。

To mark the 2018 open house held at Taitung (actually called Chih-hang, or Zhihang in pinyin) Air Base the ROCAF 7th FTW painted three F-5 Tiger II aircraft with tiger schemes. The three aircraft were F-5E 5291, F-5Fs 5395 and 5403. All the markings symbolize various items such as the striping for being bred at the air base referred to as the Tiger Nest; yellow and black represent the tiger’s tenacity and bravery. The 7th FTW is responsible for training pilots in jet aircraft so they can fly to more advanced jet fighters.
